I spent the last year designing and implementing a series of efficient and versatile Python scripts that significantly improved my productivity and streamlined the entire production process. These custom-made scripts were tailored to enhance my workflow within Deltagen, enabling me to deliver projects more swiftly and seamlessly collaborate with other 3D software packages. While developing these scripts, I gained a deep understanding of Deltagen's capabilities and limitations.
These are some scripts I wrote for Deltagen 21/22/23:
- Read and write metadata
- Save object ID and material information on the object's metadata
- Delete linked files that were not loaded
- Clean / organize objects on a hierarchy according to metadata (VW workflow)
- Create custom nodes for wheel rotation (VW workflow)
- Manipulate switch nodes
- Save material parameters to Json file.
- Save all switches to Json file.
- Save all variants on variant manager to Json file.
